“What would Oprah do?” I used to ask myself this question when facing difficult decisions in my life and business. I would actually visualize myself in Oprah’s shoes. I would find a comfortable position, close my eyes, take deep breaths, and channel my inner Oprah. 🧘♀️ I would think about what she would say in the moment, and how she would react. What advice would she give? What support would she offer? It was an exercise that really served me well as I continued to expand and connect to my highest self. I wanted to share it with you today so you can try it out. Step 1: Think about someone you look up to and admire – a leader who epitomizes the life you want to live. It doesn’t have to be Oprah. Maybe it’s Sara Blakely or Gabby Bernstein. 👯♀️ Step 2: Visualize how she would handle the specific challenge or situation you’re facing. This will help you tune in and strengthen your highest self. The reality is, I don’t actually know Oprah. I don’t know how she makes decisions or what goes through her mind on a daily basis. By channeling my inner Oprah, I was actually connecting to what I would do. Crazy, right? 🤷 When making big decisions in life and business, we often get asked to envision our future selves. But it can be hard to connect to an unfamiliar part of you that you haven't felt yet. Rather than looking beyond your current self for the answers, try searching within. Your highest self is already there, waiting for you. You just need to turn off the triggers, wash away the fears and unlearn old patterns and habits in order to access her. This is where you truly SHINE. ✨
Will you give this exercise a try? I’d love to hear about how you make out. Hit reply to this email and let me know. P.S. There’s one time of year that always forces me to slow down and reflect on my growth on my path to embodying my highest self. My birthday. As I celebrated my b-day on June 17th, I am putting together a special giveaway for you to thank you for being in my life. Don’t miss out.
