Let’s put an end to the narrative that success = money, once and for all.

It’s a process often rooted in what you do not have, a desire for control and a lack of worthiness unless you achieve. Over the years I have seen that the less you try to control, the more abundance you attract.
I really only have one goal for 2022: more JOY, more LOVE, more CELEBRATION of life/self.
I believe when I make “joy” my north star, and let go of all other distractions, everything I could ever want or need will come to me.
After all, your dreams wouldn’t have been placed in your heart if they weren’t possible for you.Read that line again…
Do you feel the weight being lifted from your shoulders yet? There’s something so freeing about trusting that everything will unfold so much better than you could have ever imagined, when you find your joy and follow inspired action.
When I reflect on everything I’ve created and achieved in my life, I feel immense gratitude. The little girl in me is screaming in excitement at how far I’ve come.
I’m already living every dream I ever imagined for myself.
At the same time, I know there’s this new level of magic just waiting for me, and I’m so excited to experience what’s coming next.
Even if I don’t know what it is yet.
Even if it means getting comfortable in the discomfort. In the uncertainty. Even when I wish I had all the answers and could figure it all out in advance.
I don’t need to plan every next step or take action on every idea.
It’s less about doing and more about being.
Being open to receiving what’s meant for me.
This is when the MAGIC happens.

I’m done with creating a list of goals for the new year.
I’m letting go of the idea that I need to check certain boxes off by <this> age or in <this> amount of time in order to be happy.
I’m releasing the societal pressure of achieving the dreams and desires projected upon me.
Instead, I’m choosing to trust the process. I’m focusing on simply finding my joy every day.
I’m living in a state of surrender.
And while it sounds simple in theory, it’s a constant work in progress.
I had a good cry the other day.
I was speaking with my grandmother and she asked me when I was going to have a baby. I could feel the gravity of her expectations. I could hear the disappointment in her voice as she realized her opinions did not align with mine.
But this is my life, and I get to choose how to live it.It’s easy to get caught up in the idea of what you should be doing.
It’s easy to get caught up in the idea of what you should be doing.
You think your business should follow a certain path in order to be successful; your life should look a certain way in order for you to be happy.
And as a result, you end up setting goals based off of what others make you think you should be doing or wanting, instead of what you know in your heart is right.
Suddenly, you’re celebrating your 40th, 50th or even 60th birthday and looking back at what you’ve accomplished so far in your life, only to realize none of it really matters. You don’t actually feel fulfilled, or joyful. Because you spent all these years chasing someone else’s definition of success or happiness instead of creating your own.
I know how it goes, because I’ve been there.
When I first started my business, I was operating in the wounded masculine. I thought I had to be hustling all the time in order to be successful. This was who I was showing up as every day. As a result, this was the energy I was attracting back into my life and my business.
And everything about it felt so heavy and wrong.
Your life is a barometer of what is going on in your head.
Your perception becomes your reality.
If you see something you don’t like, you can change it.
And you don’t have to wait for a new week, a new month or a new year to make a change. You get to choose to start today.

When was the last time you walked away from something that you wanted to work?

I’ve made this mistake myself (more than once, actually).
The story sounded a little something like this: I remember feeling so hopeful something would shift when I took on this client. I saw the potential, and I believed in the possibilities of what we could accomplish together. But if I was being honest with myself, after a few weeks (let alone months), it was clear that they were not ready to do what needed to be done in order to get the outcome they were looking for.
And after six months had passed, nothing had changed. Sound familiar?
Here’s one of the hardest truths to accept: YOU AREN'T HERE TO FIX ANYONE.And it doesn’t always work out as planned.

Here’s something that probably comes as no surprise…
I love sales.
Or perhaps a more accurate statement would be: I love aligned selling and connecting with others.
To me, sales are about creating opportunities for me to serve my community.
But not everyone approaches selling this way (especially in the coaching industry).
I know this because I’ve been on the receiving end of some pretty gross sales tactics and even ended up in tears! 😢
You know the kind…
Where the “coach” on the other end of the call points out everything you’re doing wrong, fear mongering you into thinking you and your business are going to be a total failure if you don’t invest right now.
This type of sales strategy feels forced and fear-based. It’s rooted in lack mentality.
This is not how I sell, and it’s not how I coach my clients to sell.
I believe you can create a successful business that brings you more time, profit and joy, without actually feeling like you’re selling anything at all.
When you’re selling from a place of alignment and abundance, the sales come with ease.
HERE ARE MY TOP THREE TIPS FOR ALIGNED SELLING:
1. Pretend you’re having a conversation with a friend.
Leave the formalities at the door and just be yourself. Show them you genuinely care about what’s going on in their life and business. Remember, people want to work with people.
2. Bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to go.
While your sales calls don’t need to feel rigid, it does help to have some structure to your process. This helps bring clarity for the person on the receiving end. Ask questions to understand where they are now and what their goals are for the future. Then be honest with yourself: are you the solution? Is this truly the right fit for both of you?
3. Make it easy for them.
If you know you can help them, show them how. Customize your solution to their needs. Give them a small win they can walk away with, to help build trust. If you want to take it a step further, ease their mind by offering a refund policy. Show them you believe in what you can accomplish together, and help them see you’re all in.
4. Be prepared to walk away.
It’s so important to make sure you are unattached from the outcome. When you’re coming from a place of service over selling, it means putting the client first. If you’re not the one who can help them, let them know. And then let them go.

Listen. There’s nothing I love more than seeing women stand up for one another. And I understand how this topic could trigger some people. (Don’t even get me started on the political status of Texas – that’s another conversation for another day).
But why is it that we’re so quick to jump to conclusions and pass judgement from behind the keyboard?
What our world, and especially our community, needs right now is more connection, not division.
This means sharing, commenting and engaging from a place of love and acceptance rather than hostility and projection.

How do you really feel about selling your stuff?
You probably know by now that I am more obsessed with mindset than a Buddhist monk.
Okay maybe I’m not quite on that level, but thanks to my own mindset work over the years, I like to think I’m on my way.
What does this have to do with selling, you ask?
One of the biggest mistakes I see leaders and entrepreneurs make is diving right into the strategy before they have even considered addressing their beliefs around sales.
They have all the business tools and sales scripts in place, but they’re still not actually selling anything.
Before you know it, the self-doubt and limiting beliefs come to play, and it all goes downhill FAST. 👎
This recently happened to a client of mine...
She was working with another coach and using all the scripts, but she had yet to land a single paying client.
Then we started working together and after just seven days, she sold not one, not two, but THREE paying clients.
She went from $0 to $7k in ONE MONTH. 🔥
And it all came down to sales.
The truth is, she didn’t actually know how to sell.
Everything about it felt super forced to her, so as a result, she approached her sales calls from the same inauthentic and intense place.
She had everything she thought she needed to succeed – but all she heard was crickets.
Until we started doing the mindset work and making sales more about authentic communication.
I helped her tune into herself and what she was truly feeling in the moment. We did some role playing. She listened to her clients’ needs and goals, and began approaching discovery calls from a place of service rather than selling.

There wasn’t anything wrong with what she was selling. It all came down to her fears and the negative thoughts and patterns she associated with sales.
